In the “Your Computer Has Been Locked” scam, your web browser may be trapped in full-screen mode, showing annoying pop-up messages that won’t go away and effectively locking your browser. If this happens, you can use the “Task Manager” on Windows or “Force Quit” on Mac to close your browser and stop the pop-ups.
